Summary: This paper explores the critical intersection of cybersecurity, digital trust, and Islamic business ethics, emphasizing the integration of Shariah principles with modern technological practices to foster secure and trustworthy digital ecosystems. As Islamic enterprises increasingly engage with the global digital economy, they encounter the dual challenge of navigating complex cybersecurity threats while maintaining adherence to ethical mandates rooted in Islamic jurisprudence. Core values such as privacy protection, honesty, integrity, harm prevention, and mutual cooperation emerge as foundational ethical pillars that align closely with contemporary cybersecurity objectives. The study highlights the growing importance of cybersecurity investments as both a technical necessity and an ethical obligation within Islamic business contexts, reinforcing the principle of ‘maslahah’ (public interest) as a driver for safeguarding digital assets and stakeholder trust. Furthermore, it examines strategies for building digital trust through transparent data practices, compliance with Shariah standards, and ethical literacy initiatives aimed at fostering accountability and fairness in digital transactions. Collaborative efforts, exemplified by organizations like the OIC-CERT, are underscored as vital mechanisms for collective cybersecurity resilience, reflecting the Islamic ethos of ‘ta’awun’ (mutual cooperation). By proposing integrative strategies encompassing ethical policy development, stakeholder education, interdisciplinary collaboration, and continuous compliance monitoring, the paper advocates for a proactive approach to cybersecurity governance within Islamic businesses. Ultimately, this research argues that the convergence of Islamic ethics and cybersecurity not only addresses technical vulnerabilities but also contributes a unique ethical framework to the global digital economy, reaffirming that technological progress and moral responsibility are mutually reinforcing imperatives for sustainable digital development.
